[[margin]] Ater [[/margin]] None of the hummingbirds or Aters attacks any individual of another species (But I shouldn't be surprised if the small green and buffy hummingbird were the species attacked by the Ater earlier this morning.) 

All the birds move on quite rapidly. Apparently in different directions. Apparently without reacting to one another in any way. I. E. this assemblage should [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] be considered a flock.

[[margin]] Laf [[/margin]] A few seconds later, there is a brief burst of Laf Song about 20-30 ft away. NODWAH.

[[margin]] Laf Pect [[/margin]] Walking further along path. 7:45. Hear more Laf Song. NODWAH. Then see Laf Singing. Perched exposed 6 ft up. Definitely alone. Singing posture looks [[underlined]] remarkably [[/underlined]] "small-headed" (contrast with Pect).

[[margin]] Laf Ater [[/margin]] Then bird flies off into low shrub. Then I see 2 Lafs ^[[2 checkmarks above Lafs]] hopping about in this shrub. Silent. Definitely alone. Feeding on red and yellowish-greenish-whiteish melastome flowers. Same flowers preferred by both Ater and [[underlined]] rufinucha [[/underlined]].

Then hear Ater or CC Twitters in distance. NODWAH. But completely overlapping [[underlined]] Dubusia [[/underlined]] Songs in distance.

[[margin]] Laf [[/margin]] Twitters stop. Laf resumes. NODWAH. Laf stops. Twitters resume. NODWAH. Twitters stops. Laf resumes. NODWAH.

[[margin]] Ater Laf [[/margin]] Then see one Ater ^[[four checkmarks above Ater]] chasing another. Both silent. Alone. In [[underlined]] exact same spot where 2 Lafs seen earlier [[/underlined]]. Lafs not visible at the time. But one Laf is Singing NODWAH about 25 ft away.

[[underlined]] So Laf and Ater territories are still overlapping here. [[/underlined]]

Seen coming out, rather feebly, 8:05 am.
