Mixed Diglossini, Mar. 22, 1966, III.
[[circled]] 62 [[/circled]]

[[underlined]] But the H. atropileus undoubtedly were acting as "passive unclear." [[/underlined]] Very, [[underlined]] very [[/underlined]] noisy. And even when they were not actually in lead, the rest of the group usually did not follow the "leaders" until the [[underlined]] atropileus [[/underlined]] did so. (Viz some flocks in Chiriqui.)

At one time, a pair of [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] ^[[four checkmarks]] approached group. Probably must be said to j --> group. But they [[underlined]] certainly [[/underlined]] stay behind when rest of group moves on. Definitely alone ^[[four checkmarks]] now.

[[margin]] Albi [[/margin]]
A few minutes later, ca. 7:15am., hear more Albi ^[[two checkmarks]] R's in same area as earlier. NODWAH. Stop. [[underlined]] So this Albi also stayed behind when the rest of the group moved on!!! [[/underlined]]

[[margin]] Albi Laf Ater [[margin]]
It would appear that Albis definitely "exort" more frequently than Lafs or Aters in this region!

Some minutes later, hear more Whitestart Songs in moderate distance. NODWAH. Stop. Then again. NODWAH. Stop.

[[margin]] Sitti XI [[/margin]]

Still includes Sitti, [[underlined]] [[Uromipas?]] [[/underlined]], Green and White Hummingbird, others. 2 [[underlined]] rufinuchas [[/underlined]] j --> group. But a pair of [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] 30 ft away definitely do [[underlined]] not. [[/underlined]]

[[margin]] Albi [[/margin]]
8:20. 8790 ft. Hear Albi R's. NODWAH. Stop. Then hear some more Whitestart Song. NODWAH. Stop.

Ca 8:45 am. Approximately same area. Lots more Whitestart Song. All NODWAH. Stop.

[[margin]] Cy [[/margin]]
9:01. Some distance further up road. Hear Cy Songs. "Tsit" Intro Notes. NODWAH. But overlapping [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] Rfl's

COMMENTS:

[[margin]] Laf Albi [[/margin]]
[[circled]] 1 [[/circled]] I think that I must have been wrong, a few days ago, when I said I heard Laf Song [[underlined]] below [[/underlined]] the area where Albis have been seen and heard. The supposed Laf Songs must have been somewhat
