Watching lake front

Many Ring-bills and some Herrings migrating westerly.  Mostly feeding. Some aerial long-calling. In the case of the Ring-bills, also some ground aggressiveness (on the ice) and pairing.

Ring-bill Trumpeting call.
Initial phase as usual.
Second phase straight down.

Third phase. Series of notes forced out, in Oblique. At first the Oblique tends to be steady, then a head-toss develops with each note. Get more extreme.

Then, for last note, (almost muffled), the tosses given while the neck relaxes
