April 26 II

U after attack bird in U attacked U before attack

[[in margin, doodle]] All these OLO's ending with head-toss. Very difficult to distinguish from apparent FB. Cry possibly deeper. (The above dispute actually ended with OLO's, and then pair walked together, FB, about 15 times, relax. All very difficult)

Is it possible that the OLO with head-toss only occurs when pair is involved in dispute?

[[in margin, lines drawn]] O (with toss) -O- (without toss) by solitary bird on ground toward flying bird.

[[in margin, doodles and vertical text "No real sign of sex"]]
Interesting. Presum. "♂" on ground. Presum. "♀ 1" lands a few feet away. ♂ twice rushes* at her N.a.d (except during such, a very faint, stifled note, Long Call?, attack call?, anyhow not countable) ♀ retreats hurriedly each time. Then ♀ approaches ♂. ♂ OLO with toss. ♀ appar. FB, (certainly toss, from hunched), about 5 times. Separate. Another bird, presum. "♀ 2," approaches her once more n.a.d. Continue walking ♀1 flies off. ♂ doesn't even look up 6:52

[[in margin, doodle]] Should mention, here, in case I forget, that OLO, in the Ring-bill, is sometimes with, sometimes without, head-toss.
Very dull 7:07
OLO (faint toss)

[[in margin, "!" and drawn square]] Pair land. ♀ first. ♀ does OLO, continuing after ♂ lands! ♂ does O, after landing Both U. ♂ walks away

Leaving 7:30

[[in margin, text "Can't count. Both species" [[/margin]]
