Another panic 5:00 Leaving myself Monday, July 5 Arrive new colony 3:40 Very warm. Ocean clouds. Very slight southerly wind. Near birds are still very shy, but far birds settle immed. Young returning 3:44. Birds perhaps quietening. Nearer birds starting to come back 3:46 but not the really close ones. Adults do seem to peck chicks on head and neck primarily. Panic again 4:00 [[? ? ?]] signs of settling down 4:05 One band of 8-9 chicks, all clumped together. Chicks fighting. Apparently with rasp DC also the inevitable reaction to being attacked by either adult or chick. [[2 images]]
