Miss Barbara Harvey
U.S. Embassy
Seoul, Korea

Dear Miss Harvey:

Enclosed you will find a letter to Dr. Dong Won Lee, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and carbon copies of the same to Dr. Kang and Professor Moon, concerning the arrival in Korea of Dr. Ke Chung Kim, a Smithsonian consultant, who will be helping our "Ecological Study of Korea."

From previous correspondence with Dr. Helmut Buechner, you are probably aware of our proposed ecological studies and the assistance Dr. Kim can provide. We would appreciate any help that you may be able to give him.

Would you be so kind as to forward the letters to Dr. Lee and the others so that they may be safely in their hands by the time of Dr. Kim's arrival? Your assistance in this matter will be deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

William W. Warner
Director
Office of International Activities
