Head, Office of Ecology
Smithsonian Institution
Washington, D.C., 2560

Dear Dr. Buechner:

Thank you for your letters of April 19th and 22nd,and also I give you my hearty thanks for your financial support for me to stay at Smithsonian Institution for 3 weeks. Here in Korea I am machining every possible preparation for DMZ-research program so that a perfect research plan can be made during my 3-week-stay at Smithsonian Institution.

As you know I am supposed to participate in the short course for national park leaders at Michigan University of Ann Arbor and following this to take part in a field trip (by bus) which is to be finished at Interior Building of Washington, D.C. (18th & C Street, N.W) at 2:30 pm on May 27th. After this, I think, I can discuss DMZ research program with you.

I also thank you and your fellow scholars and Dr. Coolidge that all of you are interested in DMZ research work and have helped me in many ways for my travel.

Sincerely yours,
