December 27th., 1951.

Dear Mrs. Spencer:

Will you be so kind as to convey to Mr. Hyman Swetzoff our thanks for the check of $315. (Three Hundred and Fifteen Dollars) covering the Degas drawing, and also tell him how pleased we are that the Renoir also has been sold.

As you know, he requested us in his letter of the 24th., to tell you of any drawings of the modern French school, priced within $600., which we might have. Unfortunately none has been added to our stock since his visit a few weeks ago, and as he saw those already here I fear we can offer you nothing at the moment. But just for your records, should you have inquiries from sources other than those for which he was then making selections, the following artists are represented, within the indicated price range, in our present collection: -

Delacroix
Doré
Jongkind
LaFresnaye
Leger
Maillol

As Mr. Seligman mentioned to Mr. Swetzoff, we hope to acquire one or two of the Redon drawings which were in our great show, and which are now touring - The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. But whether or not their owners will sell before the drawings are returned to Europe, and what the prices will be, remains to be seen. I merely mention this as should you have inquiries, you might wish to make a list of them so that we can correspond later according to the outcome of Mr. Seligman's efforts.

Another artist by whom we have drawings, is Rico Lebrun. He is however an American contemporary, as you know.

When new acquisitions in the drawing field are made, I shall send you photographs of those we feel may have an interest to Boston collectors, and on the other hand, when you have demands for specific artists, would you be so good as to get in touch with us on the chance that we may be able to fulfill your need?

With the compliments of the season,

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. T. D. Parker.
