March 19, 1945 Dear Sirs: As per our exchange of correspondence and our agreement of November 21st, 1944, we were to receive the sum of $4,175.83 (four thousand one hundred seventy-three 83/100 dollars) being balance due us for our one-half share in the painting by Degas "La Repasseuse" sold by your London brand. It is obvious that we would have posted you immediately had we received direct remittance from Wildenstein & Co., London, and we are therefore very surprised not to have heard from you at this writing. Yours very truly, JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., INC. (O. A. Liechti) Wildenstein & Co., Inc. 19 East 64th Street New York 21, New York [[signed]]
