2 Strathearn Place,
Hyde Park Square,
London W.2.

12th Febr.53.

Dear Mr.Seligmann,

I should like to add a few lines to my cable. This drawing fetched 1936 £ 52.10.0 and was bought by Agnews. In its own kind it is a good drawing without being brilliant. The background is formed by a brick wall. The angels are very good, the whole subject not too attractive.Drawings are quite rare at the moment and this being the first good sale of the year prices will be quite high. The state of the drawing is good. The cut mentioned does not matter, not the few spots.I feel that the price will be between £120 and 150 and at this amount it is well paid.It all depends whether you intend buying for stock or for a client.I suppose you got the illustated catalogue. The so-called master of 1419 is very attractive and the price will be high. There is also a good [[underline]] late [[/underline]] drawing by Claude ex Oppentheimer lot 420.

You need not have any hesitation in asking me for informations regarding the London sales.

With best regards,
yours sincerely
