Dear Mr. Bier:

Let me first thank you for having been so good in forwarding to me a catalogue of the Weinberg auction.

The items I would be interested in are very limited. They are No. 26, Claude Monet, "La Maison bleue" and No. 41, the Seurat Drawing, "Le Crepuscule"

I would be interested in having your valuations, based not only on Sotheby's, but also on the rumours which must be circulating in this connection.

May I also trouble you by asking whether you could let me have a catalogue of the Knight, Frank, & Rutley auction of July 16th at Cholmondeley Castle Park House. Also whether in your opinion there is anything left there of importance. If I recall correctly, they have been selling right along for a number of years.

I intend returning to the States on July 2 and, according to your answer, I will communicate with you anew before leaving.

With best regards to you and your wife,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
