Herbert N. Bier, Esq.

January 20, 1964

Be this as it may, I would like you to obtain a price - convey your overall opinion - and impart in detail what restoration it has undergone.

It is not, I realize, a highly refined sculpture, but such items are so rare nowadays ...!

I should add that, following Grange's indications I wrote [[strikethrough]] JOLUILLE [[/strikethrough]] ^[[FOLVILLE]], 15 rue Rouveroy, Liège, two weeks ago, but received no answer.

As regards BEAUBRUN, as I explained to you over the telephone, though highly interesting from a point of view of history of art, it would make little sense for me to purchase it.

Hoping that your Mother's health will cause you no further worries, with warm regards,

P.S. I appreciate your crediting me with the sum of [[underline]] £2.17.6. [[/underline]]
