Dear Germain,

I still have to thank you for your letter of the 11th Decembe r (Express) which arrived on Monday, 13th. I hope you received my cable 'BOUGHT RELIEF SEVEN HUNDRED POUNDS'. I think this is a very cheap price and I am sure you will be very happy to have this piece. All it needs in my opinion is some soap and water and a good wash when it should improve enormously. I have pleasure in enclosing my invoice herewith.

I shall telephone Mme. Ramus tomorrow and find out whether she can still do the shipment. In any case I think one should wait with this until after Christmas.

The marble bust of the Marechal de Saxe which I rather liked in spite of the fact that it was done posthumously fetched [[pound symbol]]2,900 and the rumour goes that it was bought by the Victoria and Albert Museum.

With best regards,

Yours
