Besides the labor involved in the catalogueing, labeling, and installation of the 3,651 specimens acted on during the year, a large amount of other routine work has also been done, such as the writing of special papers, based on material in the collection, for publication; correction of proof, writing official letters, etc., etc.  The exact extent of this work is as follows: –
