collection (embracing besides the above-named localities the stations of San Juan del Sur and Sucuyá) contains no less than 134 species not previously reported from Nicaragua. 

(2). P.L. Jouy: 312 specimens, 131 species, from Japan. This collection contains some 35 species previously unrepresented in the National Museum. 

(3). Chas. H. Townsend: 161 specimens, 49 species, from Baird, Shasta Co., California, many of the specimens being parents of nests and eggs collected, among which may be mentioned [[underline]]Trochilus alexandri[[/underline]], [[underline]]Stellula caliope[[/underline]], and [[underline]]Dendroeca nigrescens[[/underline]]. 

(4). José C. Zeledon: 31 specimens, 28 species, from Costa Rica, 4 of the species being certainly new, and others doubtfully new.
