Besides pottery shards, which are the most bulky in size, the finds consist chiefly of bones and stone implements. Bones are both human and animal. Some of the animal bones are charred. Majority of the stone implements are made of quartz, greenstone, sandstone and limestone. The frequent occurrences of haematite remained for us a surprise. Bone implements are found, but comparatively rare. There are also things like chlorites, ivory, mother of pearl and deer horn: all shaped by human hand in one form or other. The most important of all is probably a 1/2 sharply cut silk cocoon.
It will take us sometime to make a detailed report. But the pain taken and to be taken and the labor spent and to be spent are certainly well worthwhile.
