Watson Perrygo - Report on Field Trips, 1936-1940

About the Project

Have you ever wanted to climb one of America's greatest mountain ranges? Take the journey with Watson Perrygo, a field collector, taxidermist, and exhibit specialist for what is now the National Museum of Natural History. Perrygo's field notebook tracks his travel from 1936-1940, throughout the mountainous regions of Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina where he was collecting birds and other mammal specimens. Help us transcribe Perrygo's field notes and make them more accessible for researchers and the public!
