is more than I can tell with my limited information. She may have gone there on foot as she returns me her transportation from Baltimore, which I enclose, as they refuse to take it in the boat, and made her pay $2.50 fare. She is a very fine young lady, and I feel very sorry that she has been knocked about so, but suppose it cannot be helped.
