VBurg, Jany 28th 1867. Major Genl O.O. Howard Commissioner Bureau R.F. & A.L. Sir I respectfully ask for Govt Transportation for fifty freedmen from Griffin in the state of Georgia to Greenwood in the state of Mississippi. These freedmen are for my own use and I will obligate myself to comply with all of the conditions contained in Circular 21. Office Assistant Commissioner for the state of Mississippi dated Dec 20th 1866. James G McNeill
