Boydton Mecklenburg Co. Va. Oct 1st 1869 Mr. Manly Sir I wrote to you the 3rd of September, and sent my reports for the month of August, I do not see the reason why you have not received them. I will now make out another and send to you; also one for September You said that you thought if my sister was here that you could soon find a suitable place for her; I have written for her to come, and will expect her in a few weeks, If you have a place that you think will suit, please reserve it, and when she comes I will let you know.
