PM/. and Mid't - three different times during the day the weather was reported and remarks about the ship and what was going on. -D^o W'r = Same Weather -H - hour; K - Knots; F - fathoms; No. Sig's - Number of Sightings -W.B.S. - West by South -making up Punk - : a preparation (as of a stick of coated wood) that burns slowly - used as a way to light things or as a light. So people were wadding up something and making it into punks. -reefed the Spankers. -H.M.S. Dee. boat must be sailing along with them.
