Richard Rathbun, Esq. -2- As I have said before, the albums can be shown in this case and if we should reject and return it, probably some little time would elapse before a new case could be built and delivered. However, as Mr. Freer's order was given so specifically, would it not be wise to have the Biele & Company make another case in conformity to the original order of Mr. Freer, holding the one on hand until delivery of the new? In following this course, no chance would be taken of not having a case on hand in which to exhibit the Chinese albums when the time arrives. What do you think? Referring to the third paragraph of your letter, we have ordered from the Biele Company only two six foot (6') cases as the third case is to go from here with the art objects, as also a case two feet, three and one-half inches (2' 3-1/2") long by eight and one-half inches (8 1/2") wide, inside measurement, for exhibiting the Egyptian glass. Thanking you very much for an early reply, I beg to remain, Very truly yours, (Signed) George W. Alger
