As the "Nurse" is not under direction of the Medical Officer at Norfolk, it seems to me proper that the said nurse should be paid on the roll of Major Remington (Sgd) J.J. De Lamater Bvt. Lt. Col. & Surg. in Chf. Bu. Va. Bu. R.F.& A.L. Hd. Qrs. Asst. Comr. Va. Richmond, Va. Aug. 22nd 67 Respectfully returned to Bvt. Maj: G. Mallery, A.A.A. Geno. calling attention to endorsement of Surg: J.J. De Lamater, Chf. M.O. Bur. &c. and suggesting that it would be very irregular to take a nurse up on the Regular Form No. 2 of Major Remington.
