In order to do this it is necessary to have his wife Jane - formerly Jane McFarland present as a witness, I would therefore request that transportation be furnished her from Wilmington, N.C. to Richmond, Va. and that the Sub. Asst. Comr. at Wilmington see that she starts from that place provided with the necessary documents to prove a legal marriage under the Statutes of North Carolina. Sgd. Paul R.
