NARA 291 State of Kentucky Simpson County s.s. This day personally appeared before me A P Hammond a County Court clerk in and for the county ahd state above named W.H. Hughlett of Simpson County being first duly sworn states that he is Jailor of Simpson County and had in his custody one Edmund Cushenberry as a Lunatic by order of the Judge of the Simpson County Court and that said Edmund Cushenberry died in jail on the 17th day of November 1873 he further states that said Edmund was the father of Edmund Cushenberry who died in the United States Service and that he had allowed him the sum of $95.98 in bounty his son having died in the army No of claim 584 339 also for his son Ewing Norwood who died in the same service $143.20 no of claim 584 485.
