My name is Kattie Hawkins the widow of Hartford McLain who was a private in Co "E" 118" Regt U.S.C. Infty, and I was notified that my claim for arrears of pay and bounty had been allowed and the certificate issued for [[??]] [[??]] some time in Febry 1872. But have never received any money yet, I see by your letter to Hon. J.B.Beck that all you want to enable you to pay claims like mine is my present Post office address.
