We, Daniel Webster and Allen Fobes, both, of Leavenworth City [[strikethrough]] parish or [[/strikethrough]]county of Leavenworth and State of Kansas do solemnly swear that we are neighbors of Benjamin Gerty and have been well acquainted with him for 13 years and 13 years respectively; that he is the identical person that he represents himself to be who enlisted in the military service of the United States and served in Company A, 83 Regiment U.S.C.I. and that we are not, jointly or severally, directly or indirectly, interested in any claim which the said Benjamin Gerty has or may have against the United States. Daniel Webster Allen Fobes [[stamp]] JOHN L. MAXWELL NOTARY PUBLIC LEAVENWORTH CO KS [[/stamp]] Sworn to and subscribed before me this 10th day of February A.D. 1875; and I hereby certify that the contents of the foregoing affidavit were carefully read by me to the affiants before subscribing their names thereto, and I know the affiants to be credible persons.
