WAR DEPARTMENT, Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, CLAIM DIVISION, Washington March 9th, 1870 O.C. French Esq. Agent & D.O. Bu. R.F.&A.L. Natchez Miss Sir: In answer to your letter of the 1st [[?]] I am directed to state that voucher in the case of Benjamin Julius as father of Alexander Julius [[?]] will be sent to you today. The records of this office to date, do not show the receipt of certificate for Linton Green, late of Co. C. 47th USCT. His claim however will receive early investigation, the result of which will be duly communicated to you. Very respectfully William P.
