I am off for London this afternoon and, answering your question as to my plans, expect to spend several days on the lists both of English and Scotch possibilities. You remember that I spent only a day there on my arrival, to see Prince Frederick, then off to Bremen.

I have not had my mail sent here and so must catch up with any letters you may have written and will write you tomorrow.

To my surprise, I have received a phone call from Semecesen from Zurich this morning. He is to be in London on Saturday and says he is very anxious to see me about several items which he has besides the Rembrandt, of which he says he has a photograph. Your lack of interest doesn't surprise me, but I have been thinking that if it is a great picture and the conditions are right, I might use it for an excuse to telephone Raposo de Magalhaes. However, I seem to remember the Gulbenkian coll. contains at least one fine Rembrandt. Of course I would not say anything to Semcesen about such a call to Lisbon, nor would I tell Lisbon where the painting is. Like you I am anxious to know when they intend to start accumulating more works of art. Semcesen says his two boys are in Westminster School, hence his reason for going to London.

With kindest regards,Sincerely,
