November 21, 1974

Dear Mr. Fitzgerald,

Pursuant to our previous correspondence referring to a painting in which the late John J. Cunningham had an interest, if sold with a profit, I wish to inform you that I have just been advised by the firm of Christie, Manson & Woods, London, that this Spanish Primitive will be auctioned on December 11th.

The catalog, of which I have requested an extra copy, and in which the painting will be reproduced, has not yet reached me. As soon as I will have received it, I will be happy to forward it to you, this in keeping with the request you expressed in your letter of February 5, 1974.

The choice of the firm of Christie, Manson & Woods, of a world-wide reputation, will certainly be approved by you.

For further details as regards this matter, may I refer you to my letter of January 24th.

I should add that my decision of auctioning the painting, for when I wrote to you previously it had been but contemplated, was due to the fact that up to a little while ago I had hoped to be able to sell it privately at a figure which would, of course, have netted a profit.

Yours sincerely,

Germain Seligman
