REGENT 7-9880

JOHN J. CUNNINGHAM
111 EAST SIXTY-FIFTH STREET
NEW YORK 21, NEW YORK

March 17th., 1961.

Hon. John V. Lindsay, M.C.,
Congress of the United States,
House of Representatives,
Washington, D. C.

Dear Mr. Lindsay:

This is a belated, but none-the-less appreciative acknowledgement of your thoughtful letter of December 28th., with it's encouraging data from the Department of State.

I have given the information to Mr. Germain Seligman, in whose interest I first wrote you, and have deferred writing you until he could receive word from the Embassy in Madrid. It gives me pleasure to enclose a copy of the reply from the Commercial Attache to him, from which you will note an agreeable activity and some degree of optimism. The information requested by the Attache has been sent to him.

Mr. Seligman, who is also one of your constituents, joins me in thanking you for your interest and consideration. I will be glad to inform you of the outcome.

Sincerely yours,

John J. Cunningham
