Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 4th instant. Our catalogues are sent to you as soon as we receive them from our printers, this is only, in some cases, a week prior to the sale, owing to the shortage of staff and materials still experienced by our printers. We should be pleased to mail our catalogues to you by air mail, and on receipt of your instructions we shall make the necessary arrangements. The postage on each illustrated catalogue sent by air averages approximately 3s. 9d. and accounts for this are usually sent quarterly.

Regarding the priced catalogues the charge is 2s. 6d. per day's sale, perhaps you will also kindly instruct us regarding these.

We have pleasure in enclosing herewith catalogues of our sales on Oct. 24 and 31.

     Yours faithfully,

[[handwritten]] Christie, Manson & Woods Ltd. [[/handwritten]]
