Dear Germain Seligman,

I have been carefully considering the pictures and Limoges triptych which you kindly sent me and I will gladly arrange to include them in good sales in the New Year and will do the very best I can for you.

As regards the pictures I understand that you do not wish the owners name to be known in connection with the sale. I would like to know what reserves you are thinking of placing on the pictures, they both appear to me to be somewhat cleaned. However you know more about these things than I do and I would like to have your views when I will gladly tell you what I think of their chances at auction in London.

I notice that the Limoges enamel triptych was not sold in the Schiff Sale here in 1938 at 240 gns.

The French Alabaster head of a youth of the 15th century is also here with the other things. Perhaps you will let me know your mind on this at the same time.

Yours sincerely,
