29th March, 1957

Dear Germain Seligman,

Many thanks for your letter of the 26th instant, and for being so kind to my colleague and his wife.

I note that you will be sending shortly a gouache by J.B. MALLET, and I shall be very pleased to receive it and do all I can for you.

For customs purposes I shall need a detailed description, to know whether it is framed or unframed and the outside dimensions as well as the value you place upon it. There is of course no customs duty payable but the authorities require these details.

I have been back at work about a week, although I am not fit yet and long for the warmer days to come.

Kindest good wishes,
Yours sincerely,
