October 18, 1957

Dear Sir Alec,

I am sorry to bother you with the following matter but having written to your firm on April 23rd and not having received an answer, I thought you would not mind my asking you to request the responsible party to send me this information, namely:-

On March First, 1956, for catalogue subscription and air mail postage my firm received an invoice of £2.16.6 (two pounds, sixteen sh. six). This year for the same purpose the invoice amounted to £9.2.6 (nine pounds, two sh. six).

I am anxious of course to settle this bill but were it possible I would like to know what causes such a difference between the two years. I am not objecting to the charge you will understand.

I am also enclosing herein, a check of £0.15.0 (fifteen shillings) in settlement of your firm's invoice of September 20th, 1957,

Now that this matter is off my mind, let me tell you how very happy I was to see you here a little while ago, particularly looking so well and fit, and how much I appreciate your dropping in, in spite of your short stay and heavy schedule.

With kind thoughts,

Sincerely yours,
Germain Seligman
