There are many Negro officials in State, city, and Federal governments. Mrs. Bethune, president of Bethune-Cookman College, is Director of Negro Affairs for the National Youth Administration. Dr. Weaver is assistant to the Director of Operations in the War Manpower Commission. Justice Paige is a member of the Court of Special Sessions in New York. Dean Pickens is Administrative Aide at the U. S. Treasury.
