Dear Waldo-

How time does fly-here it is December and in two months you will be with us again. Your cases have been coming in, and in fact I believe the last one that you mentioned in your letters has arrived and everything has been in fine condition except perhaps the large red crabs in one of the tins- some of them had gone to pieces, but they did not seem to have decayed. [[strikethrough]]That[[/strikethrough]]Take things as a whole and I think they came remarkably well, especially considering the poor facilities you had for preserving properly. We have of course been much interested in you diary, and I had to read it very carefully as I had again this year to write the article for the S.I. Explorations.
