I have just called up Mrs. Schmitt to see if she had received any news of you and she said that yesterday she received your short note, but that the voluminous journal you mentioned had not arrived. 

She is terribly disappointed at not receiving the journal as you may imagine, but still it is fine to know that you are there and are all right.
