Mr. Miller:-
I would ask you to act as chairman of a subcommittee consisting of yourself, Drs. Richmond and Bartsch, for the purpose of making an examination of the only application for the W. R. Bacon traveling scholarship received to date, and to make a recommendation concerning it to the general committee which consists of all the curators in charge of zoological divisions. I have delayed consideration of this matter in the hope that more applications might be received after the expiration of the term set, but none have appeared and it is desireable to take definite action.
Application herewith appended.
Please notify the other members of the subcommittee.
Respectfully,
Head Curator oof Biology.
