National Geographic society.
Washington D.C.
Gentleman:
Though I am not a member of this society, I am asking you for a favour. In the September number of your magazines, from the year 1928 I found a whole lot about Juan Fernandez or Robinson Crusoe's Island. But I would like to know some more, and that's why I am writing to you.
This is what I would like to know:
1.) Could I and my friend make a home there, had we funds sufficcient to get there?
2.) Would it be necessary to have a passport?
3.) Could we take firearms and ammunition?
4.) Could I obtain a map showing the position of the Island?
