Dear Waldo-

Now for a good long letter with plenty of troubles as usual. 

One of the worst is - I can't use the car! The road is impassable. It will probably remain so too. I used it until one night when I was stuck-hard and fast-and Erwin spent two hours digging me out. In spite of chains too. And it's impossible for me to put the chains off and on they work too hard and leaving them on wears them out even just going back and forth to school so there's nothing left to do but stay home. Swear, swear, swear! After all my good news about the boy and school things have happened again. My! how they do worry parents nowadays. Trying to make problems
