called up and said that Mrs. Bien had urged Jean to go along with them, and I know she toadies to Mrs. Bien so I guess she dared not refuse. I had all decorations fixed for eight children so at the last minute I got two more but I'm done with Mrs. Bien. The other woman is just a simple fool but I thought better of the Bien woman.

He has a chance to take an examination on Oct. 15 for minor Lab. assistant at seventy five a month and if he passes he can stay right in his office. I hope he gets it.

The classes at G.W. are tremendous. He has six hundred in his English class. It sounds impossible.
