Dick just sent me a picture of his home. It's certainly a dream. Perfectly beautiful, in all respects. And Joy is fixing up her house so wonderfully. I feel quite discouraged. Dicks home has been featured as on of the show homes in Pasadena. Some speed!

Rather a complaining letter I know, but one can't put on a bold front [[underline]]all[[/underline]] the time. Guess I ought to be glad my kids haven't been killed yet but they probably [[underline]]will[[/underline]] be before the next term is over -- so there!

I saw Heidemann's house the other day. It has changed hands again, all the furniture

Dear waldo,

I don't know when to expect mail from you but there ought to be some soon.

Everything is so-so around here. Sister and I have heavy colds and coughs. I don't know [[underline]]what[[/underline]] to do about Sister. Her hay fever is terrible and the way she coughs makes me wonder about whooping cough. And school starts Monday! I took her to Stearns but he just shrugged his
