Re Report on Phila Pa Burpees' Self-pruning Tomato Gentlemen. I have much pleasure in reporting to you merits of your self-pruning Tomato Not withstanding a somewhat adverse season they produced from July 15th until our first hard frost of October 13th-- A splendid crop of perfectly smooth, and beautifully colord fruit of a pinkish red, solid, and of exquisite flavor- These plants were set out in rows- and the vines were somewhat stragling- in habit- but free from blemish and desease of any kind- A few plants were tied- trained to stakes these produced very choice fruit of large size -color, and flavor- grown in this way- I consider it the best Tomato for the Home Gardener --and I have tried out nearly every Variety The- past two years- Yours very truly [[underlined:James W.
