Three vines of Self-Pruning tomatos grew in ordinary good soil to which had been added a small portion of High Grade Fertilizer.

These vines grew and partially fruited during a five weeks drought.  Keeping green while other Kinds fired up.

The yield was about one half bushel up to august 3rd on which date our house burned Killing the vines.

Both vines and fruit were just as represented in the catalog, the laterals being a novel to all who saw it.

The fruit grew in cluster of three and four ocasionally in pairs and measured five inches in diameter.  

It was of redish pink, globe shaped and weighed one half pound. [[text missing]] was like unto the Stone [[text missing]]ocasionally assume that of Ponderosa
