The New Self-Pruning Tomato.

W. Atlee Burpee's latest innovation, the self-pruning tomato, combines all the qualities of a perfect tomato in a specimen that is easily grown and cultivated. At an early period in its development, it sends forth branches without pruning and grows into a sturdy bush-like plant. As these plants may be grown closer together than the usual tomato vines, this increase in production is especially valuable to the home gardener.
The self-pruning tomato produces an abundance of round, unblemished fruit of a delicate pinkish red color. The tomatoes are borne on strong stems that keep them from touching the ground and blistering. The fruit is solid, contains few seeds an is noticeably lacking in the objectionable acidity found in many tomatoes.
