   Burpee's New Self-Pruning Tomato
From the first the New Self-Pruning tomato gripped and held our admiration as the tiny plants seemed so thrifty and grew so quickly, maturing so early that we were proudly serving large ripe tomatoes on our table and canning them for our winter supply, fully three weeks before anyone else in this community were able to enjoy tomatoes from their gardens.
This tomato has large, strong-growing, vigorous and productive vines. [[underline]]They bore continuously from early September until cut off by the frost.[[/underline]]
It is very desirable for family use as a single large tomato is enough for a small family.
The tomatoes are large, attractive, fine-looking, of a bright pinkish-red, solid, thick meated, small seed cavity, sweet and delicious either cooked, stewed, canned, preserved or served raw. [[underline]]In our estimation it excels all others and is without a rival.[[/underline]]
