Most of them were then in "bud" on July 21st I noticed the first fruits set on July 25th vines were three ft high from that time on they grew rapidly sending out numerous side branches. bearing fruit at every joint. Although the Tomato was not as large as the Truckers Favourite (which I also grew this year) the great number of fruit borne by the Self-Pruning. Made it the heaviest cropper. The fruits were beautifully smooth and globe shaped and when ripened were a handsome pinkish color. very meaty and of excellent flavor in picking them I measured the fruit from six average vines and the yield was almost half a bushel to each vine. The also kept well the ripened fruit remaining in good condition for a long time Mrs Daniel McEachern
