Written because of Mr.Burpee's Request

Dear Mr.Burpee;

It is with the greatest delight that I write you in regards to the wonderful success I have had with my poppies this year. I must say that my poppie bed is almost the most beautiful thing I have in my garden. The flowers are of an enormous size and the beautiful fringed and twisted petals are decidedly dowble. The flowers are borne on heavy long steams and the dazzling variety of colors, realy show up better as a garden flower then any other flower in my garden. The neighbors tell me that they get just as much pleasure out of my poppie bed as I do. Any way, Mr. Burpee, they are the most beautiful poppies I have ever seen.

Mrs. Paul Beecken,
Black Creek, Wis.
