W Atlee Burpee Co.,

Dear Sirs.,

Inclosed you will find a picture which I wish to enter in your prize contest.

The title of the Picture is -

[[double underline]]BURPEES BULBS GROW AND BLOOM ANY WHERE.[[/double underline]]

Last Summer I stored some tulip bulbs in my wood shed, later inthe fall I stored some lime in the same house.

Early this Spring I used some of the lime and when I took the bag out I saw a perfect tulip bloom in the corner.

The foliage was white, but the flower was a brilliant red.

This bulb had grown and produced aperfect flower under a sack of lime, this is the reason I say that Burpees Bulbs Bloom any where.

Respectfully,
J.H. Scott Jr
